Welcome Poem by Isaac Helms

Welcome

Welcome

The tribe has spoken
What token do you seek?
Think well before you speak

How long can you wait?
How long will this take?

Every minute seems like an hour
Will this life and death be forgotten?
Or written down in legend

Do not say anymore lies
Way too many have been said

A soul sees his body a he drifts away
Leave this land of there’s in dismay

Abused each day a thousand times
Demons persuade us to by dimes
Children of death begin to wake
Your stable life begins to tremble and shake

Mortal body in a egg shell mind
Left in the dark walking blind

Only one in this crowded dome
No one to welcome a hero home
