We're All On The Road To Hell Poem by Kelvin Rush

We're All On The Road To Hell

Dismissed by time an evolutionary crime
Never seen in this world before
Blinded and sedated destroying all we created
What's the point in going on anymore

Nature's only blessing desperately needs redressing
Hanging on to sickness that rots the mind
Dead with no real purpose greedy cunning worthless
We're all on the road to hell running out of time

Corruption and starvation controlling every nation
Round and round the merry-go-round we go
No clean sanitation no compassion just desperation
Treating every man like dirt and foe

It never seems to end we bury our heads and pretend
That we know best and everything will be fine
We ignore the evil dictators the fascists and the haters
We lock our doors relax and enjoy the wine

Despite the way we feel we cheat lie and steal
Our real true nature hidden well out of sight
No clue or direction no understanding or connection
A callous and destructive race with a hopeless plight

Threatened with isolation starved of inspiration
We start the wars then quickly disappear
All freedom is rejected no one is protected
Minds are full of violence ideology and fear

Is it any wonder we're all going under
We watch tv and sing the last farewell
Laughing as we go no more tickets to the freak show
Everyone knows we're all on the road to hell
