Warm Inside Poem by Harriet James

Warm Inside

Rating: 5.0

The wind howls
Through windowpanes
Leaves bristle
Swish on trees

Sanctuary sought
Playing jigsaw
A five thousand piece
On knees

Fire blazing
In the hearth
Adding rose-faced
Cheek

To banter
About who'll be first
To get up
And make the tea

A cosy poem sat by a blazing fire, no one wanting to move, not even for a cup of tea, lovely.
