Vips Poem by Jon Yttri

Vips

Why do some folks have names
Which are famous world around?
And others names which only
In the phone book can be found?
Some can hit a homer, some can slam a puck.
Some when shooting ball through hoop
Always find their luck.
Some can play the instrument of their peculiar choice.
Some succeed at music using but their voice.
Some can act in cinema
Or in a playhouse and succeed
Some can sell a product
Others think they need.
Some became celebrated
Though their only flair,
Was the art of being
A famous person's heir.
You can always spot them
In an exotic place
They're often in dark glasses
Concealing most their face.
So they will not be spotted
By average Joes and Josephines.
Who know them from the snapshots
In drugstore magazines.
All their lives celebs have dreamed
Of being world renown.
Now that they are, they want to hide
And don't want to be found.
