Of course the words I wrote
Were written just for you
In my heart I felt
It was the thing to do

What I need to say to you
I say to you in verse
Hoping my words are understood
That they don't make things worse

I know sometimes the message
May not come through too clear
But what I have to say
Are things I want you to hear

The respect and admiration
That I hold for you
Is a respect and admiration
I hold for very few
