Valentine's Day, Again Poem by Randy McClave

Valentine's Day, Again

It is February the 14th, once again
A time of celebration for all attached women and men,
It is the day that they show and give each other their love
As is graced and blessed, by almighty God above.
The men presents their women with candy and flowers
Then they proclaim that their heart is forever ours,
Their women for their men will wear sexy lingerie
They now enjoy together, on their happy Valentine's Day.
All day long with each other they'll laugh and kiss and flirt
Then they'll have a romantic dinner with a tempting desert,
Then when the talking daylight, becomes the quiet night
They will romance each other, with pleasure and delight.
Outside my window I wonder and I reminisce as I stare
Sadly I don't have a love, here, there or anywhere
So, here I still sit thinking and wishing and all alone,
As I wait and I hope and I dream, as I sit by my phone.
