Trying To Embrace Equality. Poem by alex sarich

Trying To Embrace Equality.

I have a date with a pen
and want to take it out
its name is Parker and
comes from W.H.Smiths
and lives in London.

A wealthy family with
plenty of class but where
can I take it on a date?
maybe to a cinema or hire a
a film, but spoilt for choice.

Wait, I'm not in the same league
Why do I think of myself this way?
I'm honest, likeable, not bad looking
and not completely broke but it looks
that I have already been written off
by a Parker pen from London.
