Trying (From The Dark Years)

Trying (From The Dark Years)

#23 IF we stay together
Will things be the same
Can't we work to change them
To save our marriage
IF you are willing
But IF you don't want to
Just tell me the truth
I know I can forgive
You of anything
Because I do love you
Could you do the same
I hid those things from you
I thought it was best
Yet I was suffering
Because I did so
I told you everything
And maybe one day
IF you will stay with me
We will feel no shame

P.s. This is what I meant by some people say 'A poem a day is the best medicine.'
