Trust Me Poem by Lely Atempa

Trust Me

Rating: 5.0

Trust me
I'm a great poet

I'm so great that even
Langston Hughes can't reach my level

My poems have been published
Since the age of 6,
That even Nate Marshall came asking for an autograph

Trust me

I'm the best soccer player there is
I've got more fans then you can count

You've might have seen me on TV before
That's how great I am.

Even my brothers envy me
They say their classmates want me to teach them,
Professionally of course because i've always been at that level

I'm so great that I make
Messi and Ronaldo look bad

Trust me

I might look like
I can't fight

But I have 2 professional boxer uncles
Who wouldn't mind teaching me a few moves

Trust me

I already know how to fight
I'm the best female boxer in my family

Actually the best boxer in the whole world
So don't mess with me

Trust me i'm just so great

I can knock out Rocky
With one punch and make him
Beg for mercy on his knees

Just trust me
