True Friends Poem by Holly Moon

True Friends

Rating: 4.5

She's of few words,
And unreliable,
I trust her with my life,
We walk together,
Side by side,
She's aloof,
I'm too much,
We irritate each other,
But we're there for the other,
We are constantly in touch,
Never apart,
Care for each other,
Somehow.

She's like a sister,
Better than a sister somehow,
We're stuck together,
I have no idea how.

I cannot understand,
How we're still friends,
After so long,
Years and years,
Nothing keeps us apart,
No matter how much we quarrel,
Threaten to leave,
We never do.

It's like a marriage,
Though not a marriage at all,
I don't know how we stick each other,
It's not love of any kind,
But I wouldn't change her for another.
