True Feelings Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

True Feelings

Rating: 5.0

'The skies outside is getting dark
as dusk turns to gloomy night
there was no lightning nor some sparks
only the dreary street lights

while everyone was watching TV
she silently turns to me
and I immediately recognized
true sadness in her eyes

as the heavy rain starts to fall
we understood it all
the feelings we already had
will never happen and it's so sad.'

A sad poem of love. The dark sky and the rain contributes to the deep sadness between the lovers. Beautifully written.

Very sad words in the poem, they love each other, why it will never happen? Since it will never happen, of course it makes that so sad. The poem only informs the reader about that.. That's all. and yet it is lovely worded.

This quiet poem has no beginning and no end, for we don't know why the feelings can never happen, and we don't know if they found a way to make them happen. We do know that they very much wanted them to. This lovely poem is like a short story that we began to read from the middle.
