Tricks Of The Trade, All Poets Are Not Fake.. Poem by Rajan T Renganathan

Tricks Of The Trade, All Poets Are Not Fake..

Rating: 4.8

Tricks of the trade, all poets are not fake,
With ink and words, their artistry they make.

Some use metaphors, others use rhyme,
Their crafted phrases stand the test of time.

They hone their skills with every pen stroke,
Creating worlds from simple words spoke.

They paint pictures with their wise inkbrush,
Transporting readers from a simple push.

Their words inspire, provoke and soothe,
All with a rhythm that cannot move.

So do not mistake their art for lies,
For their poems are a window to the wise.

Their tricks of the trade, a gift to us,
All poets are not fake, but rather, a must.

Great piece of writing, you elevated the standing of the poets. Indeed, not all are insincere nor do they compete to surpass others. I quote your own words ' So do not mistake their art for lies, For their poems are a window to the wise.' Awesome 5****

There is no "surpassing " or "outwitting " one another here. We all spend a lot of our creative time here, every minute of which we should enjoy.

I give 3 stars. *** I MIGHT have give MORE if he had sent me ice cream ahead of time. Too many here have PROMISED to send AND have FAILED to do so (or the mail carrier got hungry) .

I got interrupted by PH and may have lost a comment I was continuing to make on this poem. (cont.) The slang phrase, 'it's a gas' means: Something is a thoroughly entertaining, enjoyable, or amusing time.' I think that was it. : ) bri

Rajan, IF you are as old as you've recently implied, you may appreciate this: 'All with a rhythm that cannot move.' I Don't think I 'get' your meaning, but it reminds me of (cont.)
