Transcendence. Poem by Marcondes Pereira

Transcendence.

If I throw away my nights of sex, drugs and madness,
Would you free me from fear of death and sadness?
If I throw away my pride, envy and ignorance,
Would you lead me to a landscape made of innocence?

If I trhow away everything that I love in my life,
Would you take care of me in a paradise without strife?
