Togetherness
With pleasant things, I did construct my little world,
It is a beautiful world
But my friends did not seem pleased.
"You have avoided the extremes", they said,
"You could have been stern and fearless."
These words reminded me of the Rosebushes,
Their velvety fragrant petals and sharp thorns;
Do not look back, I told them,
My world will survive with you and me in it.
