To the roots of your soul my children
You are never alone.
Formed of long lines
Stretching back to the beginning of time
You and family far from conscience
But always there, while…

And form anew from sweat and seed
Lives loved and bruised as they coalesce
Etched from your forefathers…
And forever mothers and cousins
You do not need to know them,
To know them.
They are of you and you of them;
You make them proud, while…
You carry on

But for a moment we stand here
A link in the chain of eternity
Making the day what you will
Not knowing the levers are easy.
Lost in the shadows of our own making
They all smile of your struggle
Confident in your solution, while…

And those waiting patiently to arrive
Not yet formed of our being
Scattered across the universe
In some form of mystery.
