To The Child Of Gaza Strip Poem by Ruslan Kerimov

To The Child Of Gaza Strip

Rating: 5.0

Day turns to night, night turns to day,
A strip of land immersed in fire,
Deaf god will never hear you pray,
Today is black, the future’s dire.

War tourists quietly watch you die,
A fabulous, fantastic view!
The politicians, as always, lie,
And no one cares about you!

The same old story, nothing new:
War mongers earn by making war;
And hatred only is left for you:
You, dream no more and hope no more.

Once you grow up you’ll wear the brand
Of a terrorist, so you’ll be called
To be bombed again in a piece of land
Forgotten and betrayed by all!

A profound and deeply moving comment on this neverending cycle of violence - sharp, concise and powerful. A truly great poem.

Expressive … The bitter truth … When innocent children perish, in the answer of a 'policy'...

very honest and full of bravery! ! ! I love this spontaneous and straightforward poem! ! ! Dear friend, Ruslan. Please, read and comment on my poem about this catastrophic reality of Gaza's citizen - a Human Tragedy of New Year 2009, Massacre Near New Year. And could you read and comment on my other poems too such as Mumbai Mourning etc? Thank you.
