Tis The Season Poem by Katherine Perry

Tis The Season

Tis the season to be jolly
For those whom have reasons to be
But most can't afford to buy even holly
And some not even a christmas tree

Cause the cost of living has gone sky high
And minimum wage has remained the same
But don't ask people how they feel about it
inside
Just keep on spending money with your fortune
and fame

Ofcourse we must not speak of all the money
that was spent
On all the campaigning that went on this year
When the money could have gone to helping those
in need
But the republicans had to win, to make sure Obama
disappears

But congradulations republicans
You have managed to enter the doors
Holding most seats on both house floors
And the thing that means the most
Is the money you spent to boast
But oh well, isn, t that what most money
is spent for?

Some look forward to family dinners
And some who would not dare to invite
A family in need or a homeless man
To their dinner table on Christmas night

And some of the children's faces
Are not eager or filled with joy
Because their shining eyes of wonder
Are upon other kids receiving gifts and toys

But lets just keep things the way they are
With our same old traditional ways
Because nothing ever changes
Time only rearanges
To suit each and their own on Christmas day

But most important of all we all love the babe
The one once cradled on the hay
Who bled and died and rose again
And lives this Christmas day!

AS I think about the elections, it does not matter, wall street runs theshow. And we will have the same old what we have had. But I hear what you are saying, nice work on this rant.
