Time In A Bottle Poem by Shaun Cronick

Time In A Bottle

Rating: 5.0

I once put time in a bottle,
That was many years ago.
Every day it leaked out,
With nothing left to show.

Now I have a new bottle,
Much sturdier than the last.
Time's filled to its brim,
Not to repeat the past.

I'll kindly share it out
Generous time enough for everyone,
And when the bottle's empty,
Time returns to where it begun.

Intriguing composition Shaun. I really wish I could place time in a bottle in order to control it in some way and make sense of it. Alas time waits for no man...or woman. Anyhow, it's a timetastic ten from me!

A wonderful poem with a meaningful message. Great metaphor and nice rhyme. Liked the ultimate stanza. Beautifully written.

If we leave the lid off, would we be timeless?
