More precious souls are lost each day;
Souls happen to get saved some way;
Nevertheless, we can’t delay;
Let’s show the world that Christ’s the Way!

Good souls are going too, astray;
Let’s hold the demons all at bay;
Let Gospel word reach ears who say:
‘This Lent, let me amend my way! ’

‘Reconcile with God’ – This is the day!
The world cannot become all gay;
’Tis worth the struggle, come what may;
God’s love, all Christians should repay.

‘This is the day: let each one pray;
Let’s preach the Word: clergy and lay.’
