They Come Poem by Dorsey Baker

They Come

Homeless
and disillusioned
with life they come
in packs
looking for an escape
faces disappearing
into the crowded streets
they come
with their midnight stars
They come
with their morning sunrise
they come
with their deep dark despair
they come
shaking hands with their destiny!
