These Swift Trains Poem by Qumber Rizvi

These Swift Trains

Rating: 0.5

My city brought the new 'metro' trains,
running beautifully in grey and maroon.
Instead of riding my bike when it rains
now I take refuge in this cocoon.

I love the sweet voice of the IVR,
reminding me to mind the gap,
and telling me on which side the gates are.
I sometimes get on to take a nap.

I, however, have a few complaints,
like, why can't I take it out of city?
Please listen, whomsoever maintains
it. 'Least allow it to my university!

Hovering over the roads and rails
these swift trains are a form of art.
Hearing the 'Swishh' when it comes and sails,
makes me give away all my heart.
