Home is where your heart lies
even if it is not a palace of
glittering golden staircase
bronzed with the ivory of
the banner inwhich you hold
Time can take away from us
a part of life inwhich we all
once knew, but it never can really
erase the memory of where we
called our home
Traveling throughout the world
with all its splendor, and seeing
the hills of each of its vallies, can
take you to the wonders that
nature can provide hidden beneath
the walls of her beauty, showering
us with hues of different colours that
translate into images formed in our mind
To see our life, and feel all the fortune
that has bestowde upon us, and for
the wealth of our given health, all of these
are commodities of our life, but none can
comepare to the walls of our heats where
the comfort of home once shadowed its
harbor of security that has left us with the
impression of there is no place like home........
Sentiments of nostalgia and tenderness flood this poem and must be shared by everyone who reads this beautiful poem. It's too easy to spend one's life searching for an illusive 'other' that doesn't exist. Better to look over one's shoulder and remind oneself of family and roots. An honest and very readable poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Such a warm and tender poem Bonnie written with such feeling. A most beautiful piece of work. There really is no place like home. Love, Andrew xx

This is a gem of a poem Bonnie and you have powerfully blended emotion throughout this impressive piece. I loved your metaphor of nature and walls of beauty to compare to walls of our hearts. It connects the stanzas where it appears so well. Home is a haven for the heart and you have stolen my heart with this beautiful poem. 10 love Karin
