There Poem by Ibrahim S. Mansaray

There

There beside our old house river
This mansion sparkled with radiance
There beyond the shrubs of emptiness
Was an angel patiently awaiting
Sharing colourless love to all
There my broken heart was taking

When out of pity I came to halt
The shadows still grew beyond our home
How is life's betrayal all my fault?
When someday we all have to let go.
And somehow hearts have to grow

Her broken dreams with half-patched limbs
Still made it way pass na-sayers words
How can one stop another's train?
When men are not the gods
