The Transience Of Relationships Poem by Practicing Poetess

The Transience Of Relationships

Rating: 5.0

Someone passes away,
Someone moves away.
You change, and outgrow someone
Someone is simply wrong; not for you.
Someone's schedule changes
Someone can't commit.
Someone holds a grudge,
Someone is simply toxic.
Someone is too busy.
Life goes on.
As people fleetingly flit across your memory,
You come to realize
That only one endures,
And will not change.

Thank you, Bernard. We would like to hope that a good marriage would endure, but often even those end, as one spouse usually precedes the other in death.
