The Sleeping Beauty

Fairytale spinning on a wheel
How are you reeling what you reel
How is it you turn the folktale straw to gold
The king does all he possibly can
To mend the christening gone off plan
Ransacks the town for all the spinning wheels.
But fate respins the Shadow steps in
And only one spindle loses the war.
Aurora on the border there
Aurora with her golden hair
Left to her own devices
Was taken unaware
I mourn the king
Who did all in his power
To spare her from the evil hour
100 years and then
She rose again.
And the cruel thorns flowered.
