Constellation of stars hung above me,
I wandered in the light of the night
To make me see, they followed me
The million eyes at no man's height
I saw the moon in its oneness, still;
It sat calmly amongst the peopled sky
I saw its light over roofs and hills
It shone gently like morn's opening eye
I saw the crickets and hoppers too
they looked happy in the night's light
I hear them sang tones, dry and true
Just like I hear them do all nights
Constellation of stars left the sky
and the moon and the night were gone
and there were no sound of crickets nearby
For a lucent light had ceased the sky with morn.
