The Sky And The Bird Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Sky And The Bird

The Sky and the Bird

The bird swooped through the sky,
Then landed on the ground.
It looked astounded,
As it looked around.

The sky said to the bird,
I like my blue.
The bird nodded yes,
I do too.

Then why do you seek,
Greener pastures,
By flying away from me?
The bird answered, I just want to be free.

The sky asked, am I not large enough for you?
The bird said, I want to see all the world too.
The sky answered, I don't blame you.
And the sky and bird laughed together in green and blue.
