The Sins Of The Sagar House Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Sins Of The Sagar House

Washing my son's,
The sins of Sagar sons,
How to do penance,
Penance for ancestral sins,
The sins of my forefathers, ancestors,
My brothers,
For what sins, sins of theirs,
Theirs that they will,
Will suffer as a result thereof,
The Sagar sons,
How to do the penance,
Penance for the ancestral sins,
The sins of forefathers,
The house sins,
For what,
What fault of theirs
They,
They reduced to,
Reduced to ashes and skeleton bones
And their asthi-kalasha hanging,
Hanging by the river
Under the unmindful vigil,
Vigil of Kalpurusha,
King Bhagirath praying,
Praying utmost submission
Of pardon and divine clemency
Shiva granting the boon,
Letting the Ganga flow,
The clouds gathering over Himavant
And it will drizzle,
Drizzle to overflow
And wash off the sins,
The sins of the Sagar House?
O my sins,
The sins of the house
Of my forefathers and ancestors,
How to wipe,
Wipe them off,
O how, how to immerse
The asthi,
The asthi-kalasha containing,
Containing their,
Their ashes and bones
Into the holy,
The holy waters of the river,
O where he doing the penance,
King, King Bhagirath?
