The Silvery Touch - 2 Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

The Silvery Touch - 2

Late night in a rooftop
the fertile valley of romance
the city is asleep
moon, the night watchman
no surreal, a reality
the refulgent moon
hypnotizing the living beings
in the impeccable silence
the aphrodisiac moonbeams
lust in the body cells
lovers embrace each other
closing the eyes
burying themselves
in the warmth of love
the sensual body chemistry
the mingling of wild bodies
in the cool, gentle breeze
the lunar effect:
free romance site for everybody
full stop to worldly problems
the quick-fix solution
in the secluded feelings
the moon is smiling
the convulsion no more
gateway to a super cooled mind
silence breached by
chirping of crows
dawn has arrived
the euphoria is over.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The volley of appreciations from my esteemed friends for my earlier poem 'The silvery touch', especially the zenith of motivation gifted by the great poet, Terry Craddock inspired me to delve into the romantic quotient of moonlight and compose this poem, 'The silvery touch-2'.

A good follow up poem. I like the last two lines, 'the dawn has arrived - the euphoria is over'; take the moment to appreciate what you are seeing.

Darn.... the light of day has chased away the euphoria of love and now it is time to get dressed and go to work but maybe there will be a moment that memory will touch us with a silvery moonbeam from the night before and that will get us through another day until the moon rises again
