The Silver Spoon Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

The Silver Spoon

At the jewellery showroom
the silver spoon shines
inside the showcase
my reflex attraction
joy is born
with mind polarization
what an exhilaration!
I may not throw a party for you
I may not present a gift to you
but...
I can fill a tiny jug with water
and distribute water
in the silver spoon
destressing you
it shall be the holy water
as silver is precious
and shining with glitter.
