The Pessimist Poem by B3k Baylon

The Pessimist

Rating: 5.0

In this world of foolish hopes,
There ain’t no time to dream
Just go on and learn to cope,
Hell’s on earth, hear me scream

Step down, Take away the spotlight,
Don’t need any more attention
I choose to bask in the moonlight
Lead me to the road of desolation

Where silence gives a warm embrace
Lulled by the whispers of wandering souls
Pay heed should you fall from grace…
Let not the spirit die, don’t be a fool

Everything’s but an illusion of what’s true
Save for what lurks behind the eyes
Be cautious, protect thy heart from rue
Trust not what heard nor seen, they may be Lies…
