The Persuit Of Money, Made And Lost Poem by Heath Gunn

The Persuit Of Money, Made And Lost

Money squandered, money earned,
a friend is lost, an enemy spurned.
Life's great persuit, how wrong we are,
court fame and fortune of so called 'stars'.
For which we wish, may never get,
like the starting gate, we place a bet.
We gamble lives, to chase the pound.
the dollar bill, or euro, sound.
A strong investment, stocks and shares,
pay to your pension, relieve your cares.
The persuit of money, made and lost,
we chase forever, but at what cost?
