The Mourner And The Mourned Poem by Ekenedilichukwu Ubah

The Mourner And The Mourned

The mourner looked askance
Wondering in bewilderment
If the mourned is no more
He asked while soliloquizing:
Could i have done anything
To stop the mourned from leaving?
To the same question he gave an answer
"I tried my best.
The vibration of ululation of the mourner
Could have weakened the MOURNED
The mourner grieved and lamented
But the mourner was cold as dead itself
The mourned is gone, gone forever

He died! ! i mourned
Tomorrow may be my turn to be mourned
We all shall die
We all are to mourned
Its sacrosanct
Its non negotiable

It is a necessary end
As we mourned
We shall also be mourned...
