The Legend Of The Sea Poem by Shaojun Li

The Legend Of The Sea

She sat in the center, the stars dipped in the wild
Grass shrimp, crabs and eels danced in the palace
Whales were the pilot troops, seagulls showed up in riding waves
The curtain was up, the sky was full of bright stars

I was resting on a rock of the cape
Wind curtain rippling, chimes ringing
The surface of the sea under the moonlight is as smooth as glass
The waves in my heart had not surged...

Then she laughed like a fountain of spray
Waves uproar, competing to pass
It was a whisper when it reached my ear

But it's this little whisper which makes me lose my soul
and become the romantic wanderer between the sky and sea
