The Lady Love
By Ruma Chaudhuri

Grooming  herself
With the pea cock's tail
And with a white garland
She thought herself  to be a queen,
A queen of the cloud's land.

At the time of  bloom
Birds and bees came soon
And the  clouds ran very fast.
She was in dream while walking and talking
And nature filled her heart.

That teenage girl becomes full grown
Far and near she becomes known
Now she is the icon of beauty
As a silvery moon she smiles
full of glee.

Getting the news from
The clouds and the breeze
He's come  with the  blue roses
From across  the  seas.

He took her hand  and made her  queen
And took her to  the lands of Dream.
Nightingales are singing a happy song
The shy moon has already gone.
But she is looking like a moon
And they fall in love very soon.
