The King Is Born Poem by Vin Ace

The King Is Born

What did men come to Bethlehem to see?
What news rocked Herod in his seat?
Who did the prophets declare with joy,
He who will be born, a king to the world?
A nativity heralded by angels and men,
Such significance on a little lad's birth.
A conception defying nature itself.
And causing a change in the cosmos as well.

A man who lived his life in the infinite,
Stripped himself of his power and glory,
Allowing himself to be born in the finite,
Into the form of a baby in a manger.
So humble a birth was the lot he got,
An omnipotent being born in a confined form.
But just his arrival turned nature around.
And the earth knew it was a new dawn.

Answering the call to man's dire plight.
God's gift of love to all mankind,
The festivity should hold this great news.
God's son was born to save the world.
He took man's form for mankind's cause.
And bore it all later on the cross.
A man who changed the turning of time,
Let all celebrate, a king was born.
