The King And The Beggar Pay No Taxes Poem by Yehualashet Teshome

The King And The Beggar Pay No Taxes

Rating: 5.0

The powerful and the powerless pay no taxes
The king is busy keeping his people safe and warm
So, he pretends
The beggar thinking of his next meal
Both burdens to the society
The latter knows it, the former too blue-blooded to accept it
