The It Place Poem by Lely Atempa

The It Place

A place where you go with friends,
Something to do after school.
A place where you can hang

Be as free as you want, and max your dad's credit card.

Oh well,
I guess mom's credit card
Is next.

3 hours go by

Decline.

This place is like a mansion,
With like 10 floors.
It is basically a big store, with little minnie
Stores inside.

There's starbucks,
Movie theaters,
Subway,
Pizza,
Forever 21, ect.

You can buy anything in this place,
You can listen to other people's gossip
If you wanted to.

Until you realize you've been there for 5 hours.
"Oh well, I can come back in a week."

1 week later

Take Mom's, Dad's and Older Brother's credit card.

* Cha Ching, Cha Ching, Cha Ching*
*Decline, Decline, Decline*

After you realize what you've done
You take one step back,
With 20 bags in your hands.

Taking a deep breath feeling guilty
But....

Realizing once again
" wow! Look at all this stuff,
I'm gonna need a bigger closet."
