The Golden Gate Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

The Golden Gate

Rating: 5.0

Into the world of poetry, she delved,
Sometimes reading, sometimes writing;
It was cathartic,
Helping ease her pain.
Her sorrow dripped slowly into the pages.

It gave voice to her happiness:
Distracted her, absorbed her,
Gave her solace, contentment, peace,
Enriched her mind, colored her dreams,
Changed her philosophy of life.

Into the world of poetry, she delved,
And from a larva, became a butterfly.

Yes! Poetry has that rarest power: to make a beautiful butterfly with large colourful wings from a tiny little crawling larva. But the Golden door opens to the chosen few
