The Frivolity In Stupidity And Tepidity Poem by John Sensele

The Frivolity In Stupidity And Tepidity

Don't belittle the face mask to endanger your beloved
When the mask you wear on your chin feels enslaved
As advertising your face seems wise
Beloved lives you cut down to size

The best medical evidence your illiteracy ignores
The more your ignorance in its trance snores
Hobnobbing with other dunces
Whose attitude on wisdom trounces

Social distance your brain never observes
Hand sanitizing your mind never serves
On occasions when wisdom summons you
Time after time a reminder you squeeze at the end of of the queue

Where reluctantly for seconds the mask you pretend to wear
Slides off your flirt face as death threats you brazenly dare
As if mom, dad and siblings wouldn't thereby die
If stupidity and tepidity in your frivolity didn't fly.
