.
Through the picture window in my home,
I watched spring budding and greening my world
Day by day, rain by wind, dark cloud by blue sky
While I listened to the end of days coming.
.
Through the picture window in my living room,
I watched a small but lively flock of birds
Hopping around from branch to branch to branch
While I listened to the end of days coming.
.
Through the picture window in my heart
I watched them joyfully playing a variation
of Simon Says and Follow the Leader.
While I listened to the end of days coming
.
Through the picture window in my soul,
I watched them looking quite merry out there
I think they were happy to see the snow gone
While I listened to the end of days coming.

The antics of the sparrows and the singing of the merles really do give you that uplifting feeling. Far better than a bra! There is always a shadow in the end of days but it appears less threatening when we watch the sparrows playing follow my leader. A fine poem with a really good rhythm which matches the mixed mood.
Surely the signs are there for the impending end. Beautifully crafted
Seems that the poetess has mentally prepared to meet the end but she takes pleasure in listening to the poetry of earth. A fantastic poem. Top score.

I watched a small but lively flock of birds Hopping around from branch to branch to branch While I listened to the end of days coming....watching the beauties of nature and meditating on the end of the days. you are philosophical and spiritual........ nature is always a nourishing factor for a poet and a poetess. tony
We live in the heart of nature and sometimes she holds our life in the palms of her hands. We use her for similes and metaphors and images and lessons for our writings. She is a good source material as she should be given who created her and all the life forms on earth! Thank you for your supportive comment. God bless you
