The Enchanted Courtyard Poem by Stephen Harris

The Enchanted Courtyard

Rating: 5.0

Thunder appeared, nearby a train tooted,
The night lights were lit in the square.
While one owl twitted, another one hooted,
And the pink moon hung high in the air.

Upon the floor crept the heralding phlox,
Above two doves nestled well suited.
Lurking below was a shadowy fox
All the scurrying rodents were muted

In a courtyard, where the fairies still dwell
And the enchanted tree has blossom.
Frogs quietly hopped, as if under a spell
To find rest in a sweet angels bosom.
