The Dark Tempest Poem by Rachel Hughes

The Dark Tempest

It's easy for us to predict bad weather.

All we have to do is be together.

You're a high and I'm a low.

Then the strong wind's blow.

Were like the rain after the storm.

An endless winter with no season of warmth.

And all we do is argue and fight.

All day long and all through the night.

We're not going to get any rest.

We're working on another dark tempest.

Chorus

We already made a dark series of storms.

Were an endless winter with no season of warmth.

Predict another dark tempest.

There's going to be another dark storm.

V2

We throw words at each other that cause so much pain.

All we do is bring more rain.

Somewhere down the line, something went wrong.

Because its feels like the love between us is gone.

You and I have so much pride.

And we let it blow, blow our love aside.

We have the sun in hiding.

Our love is dying, our love is dying.

We're letting the love between us die.

Through the storm that is swirling between you and me.

Chorus

We already made a dark series of storms.

Were an endless winter with no season of warmth.

Predict another dark tempest.

There's going to be another dark storm.

Repeat chorus
