The Dance Of The Seasons Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Dance Of The Seasons

Rating: 5.0

Take this rose and put it in yr hair
As we dance the tango in the dawn's light
The warmth of the rising sun fills our hearts with joy,
But we are cautious
For we fear winter's rage
As it lurks behind spring's visage
Never knowing when winter decides
To have another go
Spring drags it away from its feet,
Until winter is defeated once more
Promising to have revenge the next year,
Like some cartoon villian that never see it through
We watch the flowers bloom in the meadow
Waltzing until the dusk of summer

A very lovely poem showing how seasons forced their way out defeating others. Yes, sometimes the grip of winter lingers overpowering spring. And yet spring asserts its way and we see tulips blooming.
