The Costs Of Words Poem by Kevin Patrick

The Costs Of Words

Rating: 5.0

Words may costs nothing
But when spoken, pay a price
And leave a heavy toll
That can never be excised

Words can cut sharper
Then any fool with a knife
And leave wounds so deep
Like a war of endless strife

Spend your words carefully
For it's a debt without end

Kevin, I've seen too many good friendships end due to harsh words having been spoken. And I've helped those friends/family reunite.

Absolutely! Harsh words spoken can be never taken back. It hurts so much. It is better to be careful with words both spoken & written.
