The Clock Is Ticking
the clock keeps ticking
time is flying
can it be still
It's not time for dying
I try to run faster
to catch the dream that seems so far
unable to scoop it up
why does my body feel like it's giving up
the clock keeps ticking
Will I die before I reach that time
the clock keeps ticking
will it be too late to have what's mine

Time flies, the age ticks by, but the dreams unfold faster still. Would I be able to reach my dream? The question seems universal. Reminds me of 'I've miles to go before I sleep'. Well-penned.
Thank you for your kind reply and yes I could see the poem relating to that famous line. Sometimes we set our goals but we have obstacles that keep us from having those goals and as we age we realized that time seems to be going quicker. I think with a body seems to be to climbing and we realized that and we I'm more aware that our time on Earth is precious. Thank you for the comment.
A wonderful poem with a great message. It reminds us that life should not be taken for granted, . We are just mere transient in this world. We have to live life to the fullest while we have time. A great write that majority of us if not all could relate. So beautifully written.
