Thanksgiving Poem by Joyce Kilmer

Thanksgiving

Rating: 5.0

The roar of the world is in my ears.
Thank God for the roar of the world!
Thank God for the mighty tide of fears
Against me always hurled!
Thank God for the bitter and ceaseless strife,
And the sting of His chastening rod!
Thank God for the stress and the pain of life,
And Oh, thank God for God!

we human beings tend to just go on or carry on unless confronted out of our comfort and routine. it's then, if we are so inclined, then we remember and look to God, our source and the one we should most aim to please. my poems " thinking of one just passed" and " who are we? " share this idea. -glen
