Temporal Chimera. Poem by Carl Roussell

Temporal Chimera.

Temporal chameleon can you spare
One second, explain this eternity?
Ephemeral being an easy scare
Because entropy drains my energy.
Temporal Chimera, when will you be?
I've looked to the past, I look around, how
To be beyond where I am just to see
The answers to questions beyond the now.
What will the future tell, will it allow
Me to move to the horizon, fulfilled.
Or has the past held on to me, to bow
Before mistakes made, soil tilled unfulfilled?
Time, with one direction, take me with you.
Time, the one restriction, take me with you.
