This chain of moments will creep away,
and the wetness of the dew will vanish alike;
uneager; yet the sun will set.

He craved for wealth and left it behind,
his hunger for riches is quenched in death;
in vain he rises, in vain he lies;
in vain he waited on the sun to shine.

Tell him to lay his rest and not his bed,
tell him all might will soon extinct;
tell him the day runs quick to a halt,
and as these creeping moments;
this life will pass....
