Take Up Space Poem by Rosetta -

Take Up Space

I want to take up space.
What a useless thing to say!
I already take up space,
But not that kind of way.

I want to fill the stage.
My mother says she sees my light,
And my friends say it's not my time.
When will it be my time?

My voice can fill a room if I want it to.
It never does, what a shame.
It can, if I command,
And then someone else gets the blame.

And everyone I silenced laughs.
They laugh at me for trying.
They laugh despite the fact that they were the ones
Who tried to trick me into dying.

They shouldn't be allowed to take up space.
I want to take up space.
Is anybody listening?
I want to take up space.
